What The Node Is
The Node is a music house in central Stockholm, located at Sergels torg 3, right beneath the Sergel Fountain. It opened in August 2023 and spans roughly 2,400 square metres across three floors in the Ellipsen building. The Node is owned by SKAP (the Swedish organisation for composers, songwriters and lyricists) and Avicii Music AB, developed in collaboration with the City of Stockholm. It was created because rehearsal rooms, studio time and live venues have become harder to access in Stockholm, and the next generation of artists, producers and songwriters needs places to create, rehearse, perform and develop.
Recording Studios & Rehearsal Rooms
The Node offers recording studios, production rooms, rehearsal spaces and creative meeting rooms of varying sizes, bookable by musicians, bands, producers and songwriters. Studio 01 - Tim is built around Tim Bergling’s (Avicii’s) own studio equipment from Los Angeles, with acoustics designed by Jens Eklund, the same acoustician behind Avicii’s LA studio. Avicii Studio is a production, livestreaming and podcast studio overlooking Sergels torg, and can connect to The Node’s event stage. Rooms range from small 9-11 sqm production and meeting spaces for 1-6 people up to a 41 sqm rehearsal room that holds up to 25 people for showcases and workshops.
Membership & Pricing
Access to studios and spaces is membership-based, with several tiers: Community (399 kr/hour, plus a 99 kr/year membership), Shape (249 kr/hour, plus 499 kr/month), Studio (2,559 kr/month including 24 hours of studio time), Student (1,499 kr/month including 16 hours), and Tailor Made (custom pricing on request for larger or ongoing needs).
Live Music, Events & Hosting
The Node hosts concerts, showcases and community events on its stages, including the Ellipsen event space. Its spaces can also be booked for brand activations, product and album launches, private events (birthdays, private parties, karaoke nights, club concepts) and corporate events (kick-offs, conferences, strategy days, Christmas parties and hybrid meetings). Upcoming events are listed under “What’s On” on the homepage, and venues can be booked directly for events.
Play Live — Open Call for Artists
The Node is always looking for new artists and bands to take the stage. Artists who want to play are expected to be able to draw an audience of at least 50 people and to actively help promote the show; The Node promotes it too. In return, artists receive 20% of all bar revenue exceeding 15,000 SEK on the night. Artists unsure they can draw that size of crowd are encouraged to team up with other acts for a joint show.
Community
The Node Community connects artists, producers, songwriters and musicians who want to create, collaborate and keep developing their craft. Members can collaborate with other creators, learn through workshops, clinics and talks, perform at showcases and community events, connect with Stockholm’s wider music scene, and get feedback, technical support and guidance from people who understand the creative process.
Bar & Food
The Node Bar serves morning coffee, lunch, shared plates and dinner, with crafted cocktails such as the Sergel Spritz, Studio Sour and Midnight Negroni, sandos like the Mozzarella Pesto and Pastrami Melt, and desserts including lemon or blood orange sorbet. It’s open daily for food and drink between studio sessions; current hours are listed on thenode.se/bar.

The Node is led by CEO Emilia Molin.
